Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)

Gottlieb & Associates has commenced numerous class action lawsuits seeking statutory and punitive damages against nationally recognized corporations for willfully violating the rights of job applicants and employees pursuant to the FCRA. Many employers obtain "consumer reports" (credit reports and/or background checks) against employees and applicants which is permissible so long as a proper disclosure is provided and authorization is obtained. Many large companies have failed to give employees the proper legally mandated disclosures.
